Description
Volunteers would have the opportunity to provide much-needed companionship to persons who feel isolated in the final days and hours of their lives, as well as offer respite for families who need a brief "break" from keeping vigil at the bedside of their dying loved ones. People who are interested in palliative care, hospice, and end-of-life issues, and those who wish to learn about social work, spiritual care, and other allied human service professions would gain valuable direct experience in addressing the emotional and spiritual needs of dying persons. Opportunities for this "on-call" role are available every day of the week, morning thru night.
